Language on the poetic performance in the world Mother's Language Day

Language on the poetic performance in the world Mother’s language day, was held on 21. 02. 2020 at 09. 00 am at the Department of Fine Arts, Eastern University, Sri Lanka under the chairmanship of Mr. S.Chandrakumar, Head- department of Fine Arts on the theme “Language in Poetry”. This event focused on the syllabus and the accompanying studies.   

Dr. J. Kennedy, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Culture, as the chief guest of the event and Mr. Sinnaththambi Ponnuthurai as the performer were present. Senior Lecturer Dr. S. Jeyashankar, Lecturers Mr. T. Gowrieeswaran, Mrs. T. Sathiyajith and Mrs. P. Ilango and the Assisitant Lecturers Ms. K. Kanistra and Ms. N. Kabilashini and the Students from the Department of Fine arts were participated and expressed their views, ideas. The event was coordinated by Mrs. P. Ilango, Lecturer - department of Fine arts. It is notable that the World Language Day event was organized with the aim of creating an environment for innovation with creativity and critical vision, free from memorization.
