Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Tamil, Fine Arts, Drama &Theatre and Geography – 2018/2019

Entry requirements :
M.Phil: A first or Second Class Upper Division in special degree (four year duration in relevant field from a recognized University or Higher Education Institution (HEI) or A candidate posses a Master Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University or HEI.
Ph.D: M.Phil degree or an equivalent degree with subject relevant to field from a recognized University or HEI. or two years MA with one year research component in the subject relevant to field from a recognized University or HEI.

M.Phil: Rs. 205,000.00 (Tamil, Fine Arts, Drama &Theatre) Rs. 211,300.00 (Geography)
Ph.D : Rs. 305,000.00 (Tamil, Fine Arts, Drama &Theatre) Rs. 311,300.00 (Geography)

Downloaded application form should enclose with the paid Bank Slip for the deposit of a sum of Rs.2,000/= (for M.Phil) and Rs.2,500/= (for Ph.D) credited to the Account No: 227100190000390, at any branch of the people’s Bank, drawn in favour of “Bursar, Eastern University, Sri Lanka. The Application Form could be obtained from the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Arts & Culture from Monday to Friday during office hours by submitting the paid Bank Slip. Those who wish to obtain application form by post are requested to send a self–addressed stamped Rs.35/= envelope (9”x6”) along with the paid Bank slip to Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Arts & Culture, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Vantharumoolai, Chenkalady before 20.08.2018.
Duly completed application should be sent under registered cover to “Deputy Registrar, Faculty of Arts & Culture, Eastern University, Sri Lanka, Vantharumoolai, Chenkalady on or before 04.09.2018.
