Dear teachers,

Since Dec 2020, you made the shift from face-to-face teaching to pandemic pedagogy.

In a matter of days, you found innovative solutions to huge challenges.

You designed virtual lessons within limited time and resources.

There was no roadmap or blueprint on your hand to follow suit.

It wasn’t perfect.

There were some mistakes along the way. But you were there for your students every single day.

You’ve proven that social distance doesn’t have to mean relational distance.

Despite the roadblocks, you have built a classroom community on empathy and kindness where students engage in meaningful collaboration.

You’ve done check-ins and partnered with families.

You helped find resources for students who were struggling.

You’ve experimented with new approaches and taken creative risks.

You’ve continued to learn.

You’re reading books, watching videos, listening to audios and reading articles.

You’re curating content and engaging in professional discussions.

You’re designing meaningful lessons that empower students with voice and choice.

2020 has been hard.

We’ve seen diseases and natural disasters and an economic collapse.

Teaching is especially challenging now students have just realized how hard teaching is.

It can feel draining when you have a bulk of emails to answer or when you do a video conference and face a wall of black screens.

Indeed, you are impacting lives.

At the moment, there are students who feel known and heard because of you.

There’s a student who is passionate about learning because of you.

There are students who will remember you forever, as someone who was there for them in these dark times.

You are changing the world

History will remember this generation of teachers who have brought this paradigm shift in virtual teaching.

You are technically and pedagogically awesome!

The New Year 2021 Message!

We are about to embrace the NY 2021. 2020 has been a tragic year for all of us. Corona virus has robbed us of lives & livelihoods. It has shaken the foundations of the world. COVID has changed our conditions to be like that of a bird who has been hurt by a hunter.

All of us are fighting some challenges in our lives. But as we are entering 2021, do not forget these lines & these words.

Someone so beautifully said…….

“Every bird here is wounded”

But the one who gets up & flies is the one who continues living.

We are like those birds and we all have inner strength to rise above our situations.

Difficulties will test the firmness of our intentions.

Tests will try to wipe off our dream.

But we need to rise every time we fall.

We understand that we are tired of fighting this pandemic.

We cannot forget our  COVID warriors-the doctors, nurses, medical staff, drivers, cleaning staff, bankers, merchants, teachers and all the others.

Those who are by our side during our good times are really good people.

But those who are thereby our side during bad times are ANGELS.

Gratitude to our COVID warriors and respect to these Angels.

In the world today, there are plenty of undertakings but very less understanding, the huge amount of productivity but very meager sensitivity, there is a lot of hostility but hardly any humility.

Life is about leaving & living. Leaving behind all our frustrations our disappointments our weaknesses shortcomings struggles mistakes and moving on and starting afresh.

We offer our prayers that in 2021, let all our troubles end, let all of us make progress and let this New Year turn out to be a productive year for all of us!

Friends! gather yourself, get up, fly & move ahead into 2021.
