Mamangam Traditional Theatre Performance and Exhibition

8th Traditional Theatre Festival and Exhibition was conducted under the direction by Mr.S.Chanrakumar, Head, Department of Fine Arts, EUSL at Mamangam Temple from 5th to 7th August 2018. This is a community based and Student Centred Leaning programme of the Department of Fine Arts. Many Annaviyar (Directory of Koothu) had been invited and participated in the programme in this year. The awarded were given two differently able traditional theatres Artist of Batticaloa. The initial event the kaappu songs (Protection) to invocation and Vasanthan kooththu were presented by the students, lecturer of the Department of Fine Arts and Annaviyar of Traditional Theatre performance.  The Chief Guest of this event was Dr.K.Karunnakaran Deputy Vice- Chancellor, EUSL. Special Guests of this event were Mr.M.Ravi, Dean Faculty of Arts and Culture, Dr.S.Jeyasankar, Director, Swami Vipulananda Institute of Aesthetic Studies, Kallady and also Mr.T.Vikraman, Mr.K.Puvanachandra, Mr.U.Surendrakumar, Mr.K.Rishinesan, Mr.M.Arasaratnam those who are Vannakkar (Traditional Temple Management People) Sri Mamangeswarar Temple graced this Theatre Festival. This programme was successfully completed by the direction and guidance of Mr.S.Chandrakumar, The Head of The Department of Fine Arts with Lecturer Mr.K.Ravichandran, Assistant lecturers Mrs.T.Sathiyajith, Miss.M.M.F.Nufeeza and Miss.S.Gnanashakthi.
